Colorful meringues with the Little Batteur

Ingredients

  • 4 egg whites
  • 200 g powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • Gel or powder food coloring

Recipe

Preheat oven to 90°C (fan-assisted).

Using the Little Whisk, whip the egg whites at medium speed until frothy.

Add the drops of lemon juice, then gradually add the powdered sugar, continuing to beat at high speed.

Whip until the meringue is firm, smooth and glossy (it should look like a bird's beak).

Divide the meringue between several bowls, add the colorants and mix gently.

Fill piping bags with fluted tips and arrange small stars on a baking tray lined with baking paper.

Bake for 1h30 to 2h until the meringues are completely dry. Leave to cool in the oven, with the door ajar.

Store in an airtight container away from moisture.
