Ingredients for 2 croques :
- 4 slices wholemeal bread
- garlic and herb cheese spread (such as tartare, Boursin or equivalent)
- smoked salmon
- lemon
Spread garlic and herb cheese on two slices of sliced bread.
Sprinkle with slices of smoked salmon and a few drops of lemon juice. Top with the remaining slices of sandwich bread, also spread with garlic and herb cheese.
Bake in the croque mixture. Serve piping hot with lemon.
Note: for an even more delicious croque, you can add a few thin slices of boiled potato to the inside of the croque-saumon!
